About CUTC...

Curtain’s Up Theater Company (CUTC) is our community theater company which performs in the Madison County area, primarily in Collinsville and Edwardsville. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a variety of quality theatrical experiences to the community. 

We have found involvement in community theater to be a positive and rewarding experience. We hope to share that experience by providing performance and technical support opportunities to many in the community. We particularly wish to involve young people in the theater experience, as it is a wonderful way to nurture and celebrate artistic expression, as well as provide performance outlets for their talents.  There are many young people in our area who spend a great deal of time training and practicing their many skills – singing, dancing, musical instrumentation – and performance opportunities are often limited. One of the main reasons for the formation of our organization is to provide these hard-working children an opportunity to use the talents they have spent many hours developing.

 In addition to providing acting and technical opportunities for young people, CUTC will also involve those of all ages.  Productions will feature both children and adults with an emphasis in providing to deliver this wonderful opportunity for people, and fascinating entertainment and theater experiences for our patrons.

 CUTC hopes to enrich the lives of those involved with the theater experience.  Our goal is to produce a family-oriented product.  We target families in two ways: 1) as consumers, and 2) as participants - whether on stage or behind the scenes. Our target audience is families and our target participants are families.
